Since I’m in the middle of a job-hunt, thought it wouldn’t hurt my odds if I rewamped my resume a bit. Meant to prepare a creative resume since a while. I mainly focused on presenting my workflow visually, emphasize on my skills and software I mastered along the years.

This is a personal experiment of mine.
My girlfriend snapped a picture of this little guy and I just decided to play around with it – mainly I just wanted to explore it in two different styles, one more edgy and flashy – then one with a more vintage look and feel.

I used my Wacom Intuos4 together with Photoshop and Illustrator.

The Insider Research seeks to identify corporate insiders who have previously demonstrated an ability to purchase their company stock at beneficial times.

This virtual folder is meant to aid in presenting corporate materials to clients and investors.

YaSalam is a new fancy Shawarma joint that opened in Bahrain in late 2011. It is fun but not too funky, and fancy but not too classy.

We worked together with Skyrill in delivering this online tool, meant for  clients to be able to pick their ingredients, get a code and submit an order by only using that code. Placing orders is more efficient and returning customers can reuse their code.

This was an entry for a contest organized by deviantart together with Linkin Park – the assignment was to create an album cover for the upcoming single using Transformers 3 brand elements. I had some time on my hand that day and was up for some fooling around with the pixels so I gave it a shot. My intention wasn’t even to participate in the contest at all, but I liked the theme and it was a good opportunity for me to flex my rusty 3d muscles. It was fun to put this together in a couple of hours.

vDesigner.net is an Arizona based startup venture offering online solutions for companies in the home decoration business. The flagship product is the interior design application loaded with lots of features, aiding the decision making and presenting the materials of a given company. You can select various surfaces in different rooms and visualize your selections and arrangements save it, share it or print it out – basically everything you need to make your choice easier.

I designed the site and company branding and also developed the application.

The Bahrain based Al Hilal Enterprises Stonework Division offers a wide range of stonework, from marbles to granites to onyx. Their collection of stones are massive, as is their list of clients. We developed their website together with Skyrill Design Studios.

Skyrill Design Studio is a two man team consisting of the AlMossawi brothers who I had the opportunity to work together with on a number of projects. I did everything that is flash related for them, from small web-apps to more complex websites – just as this one, which is the showcase of their work.

The site runs with an xml backend and features deep-linking and blog-feed integration.

I always felt compelled to customize one of the munnys – so one day I just decided to get one from the UK and gave it a shot.

This is the outcome for my first attempt, so I went ahead and named this little guy Firsty. Was fun and got the idea of what it actually means to customize them, hope I can do more in the future!

SleepLag.com – is a personal project of mine, born from the idea to make myself a clock which shows me what time it is according to my wake-up time.
It was born when I was full-blown in my freelance period – meaning I was working mostly during night-time and ended up shifting my whole sleep cycle for weeks/months, not knowing at the end when to be up and when to go to sleep.

What does it do exactly?

If you woke up at 17pm – because most probably you went to bed at 10 in the morning (probably working on some important project the whole night) – then by turning the outer dial you can see what the time is for you and which part of the globe you’d be / or to put in another words: who else on the planet was kinda waking up in the same timeframe as you did, so you can adjust your day according to theirs.You can return to the site whenever your curious, it will automatically remember your last setting.I’m planing to integrate it with facebook one day or maybe make a smartphone app out of it!

Râșnov (German: Rosenau; Hungarian: Barcarozsnyó; Latin: Rosnovia) is a town in Braşov County, Romania with a population of under 16,000.

It is located at about 15 km from the city of Braşov and about the same distance from Bran, on the road that links Wallachia and Transylvania. In 14th century, German documents used the name Rasnov, but the modern German name, Rosenau, is based on a popular etymology, being influenced by the German word “Rose”. In Râșnov a citadel was built around the year 1215 by the Teutonic Knights and it was mentioned for the first time in 1331. The citadel was conquered only once in its history, around the year 1600 by Gabriel Báthory.

I designed the site that was meant to present the touristic sightings near and in the city.

adidas Invitational is a yearly held tournament by adidas Basketball. The tournament runs in various states, with the goal to attract and encourage the youth to pursue their dreams of becoming professionals and great basketball stars. The adidas Invitational hosts competitive games with a wide range of teams fighting for glory.

I am a big fan of the site and there was once a forum posting about a logo proposal which I found not representative at all – so out of my own initiative I decided to put a proposition together, which in the end got ignored – but none the less I had fun exploring the possibilities.

TIRITITRAN branding is fresh, cool and something very different for a market which is based on ‘tradition’ and ‘heritage’.

“…using the best malt, hops, herbs, spices, fruits and speciality sugars sourced from around the world combined with the freshest soft Spanish water. There is no place for preservatives, additives, flavour enhancers or pasteurisation here. Our artisan brewery produces small 5000 bottle batches and our investment in technologically advanced equipment allows us to keep precise control throughout and give us the flexibility to make any beer our minds can create.”

László is a hungarian motocross racer who is the proud owner of several distinctive titles and trophies, both national and international, amongst them the 2nd place in the mx1 world championships.

I made this promotional CD for him to help find sponsorship for upcoming competitions.

This was a Tate Modern inspired design, turned into a threadless submission too.

Founded in 1992, Euro-Druckservice GmbH (EDS) has a mostly 100% stake in nine companies located in five countries.
The holdings are active in the print and digital services segments. In its function as a holding, the tasks of EDS lie in the areas of strategic development, coordination of all activities and financing.
Activities are controlled by a small, experienced team located in Passau, in south-east Germany.

I did the presentation CD for the Romanian branch.

Sentega is a group of companies founded in the Netherlands and is the leading market share holder in production of automotive safety solutions, such as airbags. ALT provides innovative labelling and self-adhesive applications to customers in the automotive, electronics, durable goods and security sectors, as well as developing tailor-made solutions in partnership with them.

They operate globally and have a wast clientele, among them top automotive companies such as McLaren, Porsche, BMW or Audi.

I made this multimedia CD for the newly launched production facility in Transilvania.

Goal.com is the world’s largest football website and is owned and powered by digital sports media business PERFORM.

They recently went through a rebranding process in which they implemented they newly designed logo – Skyrill Design Studio delivered the new logo elements and I did the animation to show the users the new changes that happened.

The description goes like this: Show us your chops. The Steel Cage is the 800 by 600 pixel battleground where contenders test their design mettle, breaking down and rebuilding each other’s artwork for five grueling rounds. The winners get glory, accolades and iStock Credits.

These are a couple of submissions for the yearly contest I was drafted to. Didn’t win :) but was a fun experience and a good way to mingle with the design crowd. Was a great opportunity to get chosen out of so many contestants to actually take part in the duels.

This is a multimedia CD I made for the hungarian reformed church to present the whereabouts and statistics of various counties and cities the church is present at.

It features pictures and movies about the multitude of communities and their churches.

Was playing with the idea of a strange clock mechanism that is out of the ordinary, and the possibilities in making it actually work in flash. After I made the app tell the exact time, thought it would be a cool gadget to sell too.

This was a submission for one of the events organized by The Night Of The Ad-Eaters – the challenge was to create an ad that was advertising the ad itself.

A mascot design proposal for a salt mine.

This is a multimedia disc I made for the salt mine in Praid, Transylvania. It features interesting facts, information, videos, pictures and floor plans and it is constantly running on infokiosks underground for the visitors to see. It is also commercially sold as multimedia discs at the souvenir shops.

I also came up with the idea for every disk sleeve to contain a small bag of salt from the mine as a complimentary souvenir.

This project was for a fund and I also used it as my licence thesis. It is based on the research made by ethnographer Piroska Kovács, who documented every aspect of the gates in a scientific manner. It catalogs the really old (+150 years) traditional szekler gates of Udvarhelyszék – which are a symbol of szekler culture and also a traditional state symbol of families in the region. It features the drawings, pictures and detailed information about the various gates in different locations, as well as videos and interesting information about the region and culture.

A submission for the nVidia Design Fusion contest. The challenge was to blend 2d with 3d – my idea was to make a composition with metal gears, which in my opinion are kind of a fusion between 2 and 3D – flat, but more than flat. It was a good practice and a good experiment with materials.

Amigo and Intercost is an alcoholic beverages distribution company, started as a small liquor store they quickly became one of the biggest names in the industry all over Transylvania. They also have a network of logistics facilities and a line of alcoholic beverages of their own.

I made this presentation back in 2008 together with Konnertfilm.

This is a submission for a contest organized at the event of The Night Of The Adeaters in Budapest, 2007. The mission was to design a retro inspired product ad that could look like it was made in the 80′s, featuring brands from the decade.

I just threw this thing together in my spare time and submitted it, only to find out a couple of weeks later that it actually won a prize – and got featured at the night of the event.

Jamsmack Music Company, LLC is focused on providing original songs to the recording, film and TV industries. Jamsmack features an ever-growing catalog of radio/TV/movie-friendly songs with strong melodic and lyrical qualities, as well as great “mood painting.”

I did this multimedia disc for them so they can promote their music catalog to companies and studios.

Melinda Steel is part of the Melinda group of companies and one of the leading distributors of construction steel elements in Romania. They needed a multimedia presentation that would run on infokiosks at their various distribution centers as well on multimedia disks that were handed out at trade shows.

Konnertfilm is a small low-budget startup company in the heart of Transylvania involved in various local and national projects.
I worked with them on several projects, giving support as an all-round designer, involving: graphic design, multimedia, webdesign, motion design, the occasional editing or giving a helping hand on a filming set – and also I got the opportunity to dwell into industrial design as well, taking part in designing and developing a couple of infokiosk models.

Melinda-Impex Instal, specialized in trade of plumbing products and sanitary-ware was founded in 2004. The company owns 13 branches, each including technical and bathroom showrooms.
They needed a presentation material to interactively present their catalog of products and services.

The Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania was established in 2001 as an independent higher education institution in Romania, with the aim of providing tertiary education in Hungarian language.

They needed a multimedia presentation that could be distributed among high-school students on their nationwide recruiting efforts.

This is a submission for a challenge at ArtistPub.hu – A machine’s faith, God and the robot.

My idea was to present a robot who is worshiping the basic element of it’s existence, the transistor. The panel of judges consisted from a number of top names in the industry so it was a rather joyful experience in gaining top scores from a couple of judges who actually understood my concept. It didn’t win but the fact that I was ranked highest mark by two international judges was a great experience none the less.

Later I used the robot model for a school project, consisting in utopic images.

The Museum of Bucharest is one of the oldest museums in the city and it is located in the old center in one of the most distinctive palaces, the Sutu Palace. It features expositions of numerous artifacts from old ages as well as documents and artworks related to the founding of the city and its history.

I did their website, panoramic photography and a multimedia disk as well.
